From The Director:
The final orchestra concert of the year is this Tuesday, May 8th at 7:00pm in the MHS Auditorium. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in the audience as you support your students and their fellow orchestra members. Here is some information pertaining to the concert and remainder of this school year:
-Please have your student arrive promptly for the call time of 6:30pm tomorrow evening. As always, they are expected to be at the entire concert and will only receive full concert points if they check in at the end of the entire concert.
-We will be giving out class awards in between groups, and will be honoring our senior orchestra students as well. This is a special night so you may want to bring your camera!
-All concert and chamber students are required to turn in their concert uniforms after their concert performances, and parents of these students will be asked to meet in the orchestra room following their students' performances to help collect wardrobe and get it organized for the cleaners. We really need your help!
We will be selling long stemmed roses during the concert for you to purchase for your students. They are $3.00 each and are available in a variety of colors. We have a limited supply of roses and when they are gone they are gone!
We are also selling MHS Orchestras "Best of" CDs and MHS Strolling Strings 2011-2012 show CDs. Order forms will be in the concert programs are are due that evening. Each CD is $10 and will have at least 2-3 pieces from each group on the CD. These make great gifts!
We will also have a special cake reception following the concert generously donated by Lisa's Rum Cakes of Gilbert. If you can help with the reception in any way please contact the reception chair Mrs. Jona Martinez at jmartinez@solterraseniorliving.com
We need more parent volunteers in this area, and thank you in advance for your help!
See you at the concert!
